MOIL biomass fuel is energy created from plants. Plants absorb CO2 as they grow and are garnering attention as a form of alternative energy that contributes to mitigating global warming. It is well known that Japan is now promoting alternative fuel initiatives in which aviation fuel will comprise 10% biomass fuel by 2020. Through joint research with institutes such as Chiba University, MOIL has configured its manufacturing facilities into a complete system for mass production of a stable supply of biofuel, from the cultivation of biomass to the extraction of oil.
